2008 Chevrolet HHR LT, 2.4 P, AutomaticSECTION Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the rear door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  2. Remove the rear door speaker. Refer to Radio Rear Side Door Speaker Replacement .
  3. Remove the rear inside door handle. Refer to Rear Side Door Inside Handle ReplacementΒ .
  4. Remove the rear door water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  5. Remove the rear door window run channel. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Channel Replacement .

  7. Disconnect the lock cable retainer (1) and remove the lock cables (2) from the retainer.
  8. Disconnect the outside door handle rod by releasing the retaining clip on the outside door handle.
  9. Remove the bolt (1) retaining the door lock assembly to the inner panel, if equipped with AU3.
  10. Remove the screws retaining the door lock assembly to the door.

  12. Disconnect the electrical connector from the rear door lock assembly, if equipped with AU3.
  13. Remove the door lock assembly from the door.
