  1. Install the lock cylinder to the endgate handle if equipped. Refer to Endgate Lock Cylinder ReplacementΒ .
  2. Install the endgate handle to the endgate.
  3. CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  4. Install the bolts retaining the endgate handle to the endgate.

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the endgate handle bolts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

  6. Install the endgate latch rods (2) to the retaining clips (1) on the endgate handle.
  7. Connect the clips (1) retaining the endgate latch rods (2) to the handle.
  8. Install the endgate cover. Refer to Pickup Box Endgate Latch Cover Replacement .
