Removal Procedure

2008 Chevrolet HHR LT, 2.4 P, AutomaticSECTION Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the fuel tank. Refer to Fuel Tank ReplacementΒ .

  3. Using the J-45722:Β  wrench, remove the cam lock ring (1) by turning counterclockwise.

  5. Partially raise the fuel pump module and disconnect the plastic connectors (1). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting ServiceΒ .
  6. Disconnect the electrical connectors.

  8. Remove the fuel pump flange (1) and O-ring (2).

  10. Disconnect the fuel pump plastic connector (1). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting ServiceΒ .
  11. Disconnect the fuel pump electrical connector.

  13. Turn the fuel pump counter-clockwise so the locking tab (1) aligns with the opening (2).

  15. Remove the fuel pump (1).
