  1. Remove the rack and pinion outer tie rod end. Refer to Steering Linkage Outer Tie Rod ReplacementΒ .
  2. Remove the rack and pinion inner tie rod nut and discard it.
  3. Remove the outer steering gear boot clamp.
  4. Cut the inner steering gear boot clamp and discard it.
