Removal Procedure

- Drain the fuel tank. Refer to Fuel Tank DrainingΒ .
- Remove the fuel fill pipe to fill pipe housing bolts.
- Remove the fuel fill pocket. Refer to Fuel Tank Filler Pipe Housing Replacement .
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
- Remove the fuel fill pipe lower bolt.
- Disconnect the fuel tank vent pipe quick connect fittings (1, 3). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting ServiceΒ .
- Loosen the fuel fill pipe hose clamp (2) at the fuel tank.
- Remove the fuel fill pipe hose from the fuel tank.
- Remove the fuel fill pipe from the vehicle.
