- Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the infrared transmitter.
- Test for less than 5.0 ohms between the ground circuit terminal 12 and ground.
- If greater than specified range, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance.
- Ignition ON, DVD playing, test for B+ between the infra red module control circuit terminal 4 and ground.
- If less than specified value, test the control circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the rear seat audio module.
- Ignition ON, DVD playing, test for AC voltage between the following signal circuit terminals listed below and ground.
- Left DVD audio signal (+) - terminal 1
- DVD audio common (-) - terminal 2
- Right DVD audio signal (+) - terminal 3
- If AC voltage is not present, test the signal circuit for a short to voltage, short to ground, or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the radio.
- Ignition ON, RSA ON, test for AC voltage between the following signal circuit terminals listed below and ground.
- Left infra red audio signal (+) - terminal 9
- Infra red audio low reference (-) - terminal 10
- Right infra red audio signal (+) - terminal 11
- If AC voltage is not present, test the signal circuit for a short to voltage, short to ground, or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the RSA.
- If all circuits test normal, test or replace the infrared transmitter.
