Liftgate Latch Replacement

Callout Component Name
Preliminary Procedure 
Remove the liftgate trim panel. Refer to Liftgate Trim Panel Replacement .
1 Liftgate Latch Screw (Qty: 3)
CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .


Tighten 
9 N.m (80 lb in)
2 Liftgate Handle Assembly

Procedure

  1. Disconnect the electrical connector.
  2. Remove the plastic tether before installing the liftgate latch.
  3. Calibrate the liftgate. Refer to Liftgate Calibration (Except Avalanche and EXT Escalade) .
  4. Adjust the liftgate if needed. Refer to Liftgate Adjustment .
