- Ignition OFF, disconnect the appropriate antenna harness connector at the TV antenna module and the harness connector at the TV antenna amplifier.
- Test for less than 5 ohms of resistance between the two ends of the coax cable center conductor.
- If greater than the specified range, replace the antenna coax cable.
- Test for less than 5 ohms of resistance between the two ends of the coax cable outer shield.
- If greater than the specified range, replace the antenna coax able.
- Test for infinite resistance between the antenna coax center conductor and the outer shield.
- If less than the specified range, replace the antenna coax cable.
- Connect the harness connector at the TV antenna module.
- Ignition ON, TV ON, wait 20 seconds, test for more than 1 volt at the coax cable center conductor terminal 2.
- If less than the specified value, replace the TV antenna module.
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the appropriate TV antenna.
- Test for less than 5 ohms of resistance between the two ends of the TV antenna coax cable center conductor.
- If greater than the specified range, replace the TV antenna coax cable.
- Test for less than 5 ohms of resistance between the two ends of the TV antenna coax cable outer shield.
- If greater than the specified range, replace the TV antenna coax able.
- Test for infinite resistance between the TV antenna coax center conductor and the outer shield.
- If less than the specified range, replace the TV antenna coax cable.
- Ignition OFF, TV OFF, connect the harness connector at the TV antenna amplifier.
- Ignition ON, TV ON, wait 20 seconds, test for more than 1 volt at the TV antenna coax cable center conductors.
- If less than the specified value, replace the TV antenna amplifier.
- If all circuits test normal, replace the inoperative TV antenna.
