Speed Alert
Speed Alert is a feature that notifies the driver of what the legal speed limit is for the street the vehicle is currently driving on. This feature also has the ability to alert the driver of when the speed limit has been exceeded. The driver can scroll through the DIC, in the IPC, to display "Speed Limit: XX MPH" (or "Km/h" for metric setting). This is the legal speed limit. If the vehicle speed exceeds that of the legal limit, a warning of "Speed Limit: XX MPH" will appear on the DIC. The driver can select 4 options relating to speed alert:
- Speed Alert: Off
- Speed Alert: At Limit (no offset)
- Speed Alert: +5 MPH (Km/h)
- Speed Alert: +10 MPH (Km/h)
Selections 3 and 4 are an offset for the warning message. Meaning, the warning message will not appear until the vehicle speed has exceeded the legal limit by 5 or 10 mph/kph. If selection 1 is chosen (speed alert: off) then no warning message will be displayed, but the driver can still scroll DIC menu to see what the speed limit is.
