Installation Procedure

2008 Chevrolet Chevy Express G3500, Van Passenger ExtendedSECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Install the cooling fan assembly.

  3. Raise the vehicle.
  4. CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  5. Install the retaining bolts that secure the transmission oil cooler lines to the cooling fan shroud and tighten to 5.4 N.m (48 lb in).
  6. Install the retaining bolts that secure the power steering lines to the cooling fan shroud and tighten to 5.4 N.m (48 lb in).
  7. Connect the engine wiring harness to the engine frame.

  9. Install the RH lower retaining bolt that secures the cooling fan shroud to the radiator and tighten to 5.4 N.m (48 lb in).

  11. Install the front air deflector.
  12. Install the front air deflector retainers.
  13. Lower the vehicle.
  14. Connect the cooling fan electrical connectors.
  15. Install the upper retaining bolts that secure the cooling fan shroud to the radiator and tighten to 5.4 N.m (48 lb in).

  17. Install the left side lower retaining bolt that secures the cooling fan shroud to the radiator and tighten to 5.4 N.m (48 lb in).
  18. Engage the surge tank inlet hose to the retaining features on the cooling fan shroud.
  19. Install the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement .
