  1. Install the battery into the vehicle.
  2. CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  3. Install the battery retainer and bolt and tighten to 18 N.m (13 lb ft).

  5. Install the battery heat shield. Refer to Battery Heat Shield ReplacementΒ .

  7. Connect the battery positive cable (1) to the battery and bolt and tighten to 17 N.m (13 lb ft).
  8. Connect the battery negative cable (2). Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Side Post)Β .
