2008 Chevrolet Chevy Express G3500, Van Passenger ExtendedSECTION Circuit/System Testing

  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the EBCM.
  2. Ignition OFF and scan tool disconnected, open and close the driver door, and wait 1 minute. Test for less than 5 Ξ© between the ground circuit terminals listed below and ground:
    • Terminal E
    • Terminal F
    • Terminal 13 (JL7)
    • Terminal 38 (JL7)
    • If greater than the specified range, test the ground circuits for an open/high resistance.
  3. Ignition ON, verify a test lamp illuminates between the B+ / IGN circuits terminals listed below and ground.
    • B+ terminal A
    • B+ terminal B
    • IGN terminal C
    • B+ terminal 13 (JL7)
    • B+ terminal 38 (JL7)
    • If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the affected B+ / IGN circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance.
  4. If the circuit tests normal, replace the EBCM.
