- Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the applicable front end sensor and the harness connector at the SDM.
- Test for infinite resistance between the applicable impact sensor signal circuit terminal B and ground.
- If less than the specified value, test the circuit for a short to ground.
- Ignition ON, test for less than 1 volt between the applicable impact sensor signal circuit terminal B and ground.
- If greater than the specified range, test the circuit for a short to voltage.
- Ignition ON, test for less than 1 volt between the applicable impact sensor low reference circuit terminal A and ground.
- If greater than the specified range, test the circuit for a short to voltage.
- Test for less then 1 ohm of resistance between the applicable impact sensor low reference circuit and the SDM.
- If greater than the specified range, test the circuit for an open/high resistance. If the circuits test normal, replace the applicable front end sensor.
- Test for less then 1 ohm of resistance between the applicable impact sensor signal circuit and the SDM.
- If greater than the specified range, test the circuit for an open/high resistance. If the circuits test normal, replace the applicable front end sensor.
- If all circuits test normal, replace the applicable impact sensor.
- With a scan tool, clear DTCs.
- Verify DTC B0083 or B0084 is not set.
- If DTC is set, replace the SDM.
