- Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector X2 at the SDGM.
- Test for less than 10 ohms between the ground circuit terminal 18 and B+.
- If greater than the specified range, test the circuit for an open/high resistance.
- Ignition ON, verify that a test lamp illuminates between the B+ circuit terminal 8 and ground.
- If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance.
- Ignition ON, verify that a test lamp illuminates between the enable signal circuit terminal 16 and ground.
- If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the circuit for an open/high resistance.
- If all circuits test normal, replace the SDGM.
IMPORTANT:
The scan tool must be disconnected and the ignition key must be out of the ignition switch for 30 seconds for proper test results.
