Installation Procedure

2008 Chevrolet Chevy Express G3500, Van Passenger ExtendedSECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Install the radiator outlet hose to the vehicle.
  2. IMPORTANT: Lubricate the inside diameters of the hoses with clean coolant prior to installation.
  3. Using the J 38185  , disengage the tension on the hose clamp and install the radiator outlet hose to the radiator. See Special Tools .

  5. Using the J 38185  slide the clamp into the original position. See Special Tools .
  6. Using the J 38185  , disengage the tension on the hose clamp and install the radiator outlet hose to the thermostat housing. See Special Tools .
  7. Using the J 38185  slide the clamp into the original position. See Special Tools .
  8. Install the radiator outlet hose to the engine support bracket.
  9. Install the radiator inlet hose. Refer to Radiator Inlet Hose Replacement (LLT)  or Radiator Inlet Hose Replacement (LY7)  or Radiator Inlet Hose Replacement (LH2) .
  10. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill)  or Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716) .
