2008 Chevrolet Chevy Express G3500, Van Passenger ExtendedSECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Install the starter motor.
  2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  3. Install the starter motor bolts.

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the bolts to 30 N.m (22 lb ft).

  5. Connect the wire (4) and nut to the S terminal on the starter.

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the nut to 4 N.m (35 lb in).

  6. Connect the battery positive cable (4) and nut to the starter terminal.

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the nut to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  7. Install the intake manifold. Refer to Intake manifold Replacement .
  8. Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and ConnectionΒ .
