2008 Chevrolet Chevy Express G3500, Van Passenger ExtendedSECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Install the generator bracket to the engine.
  2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  3. Install the generator bracket bolts.

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the generator bracket bolts in the sequence shown to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).

  4. Install the right side engine mount bracket. Refer to Engine Mount Bracket Replacement - Right Side .
  5. Install the generator drive belt tensioner. Refer to Drive Belt Tensioner Replacement - Generator .
  6. Install the generator. Refer to Generator Replacement (LY7)Β  or Generator Replacement (LH2 w/AWD)Β  or Generator Replacement (LH2 w/RWD)Β  or Generator Replacement (LC3)Β .
  7. Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and ConnectionΒ .
