- Ignition ON, observe the scan tool BCM Shift Lock Solenoid Command parameter. The parameter should change from LOCK to UNLOCK when the brake pedal is depressed.
- If not the specified parameter, replace the BCM.
- Press the brake pedal, the vehicle operator should be able to move the shifter lever out of the park position.
