  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and ConnectionΒ .
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  3. Remove the torque converter cover bolts.
  4. Remove the torque converter cover.

  6. Disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector from the starter motor.

  8. Remove the positive battery cable nut (3) from the starter solenoid.
  9. Remove the positive battery cable (1) and the engine wiring harness (2) terminal from the starter solenoid.

  11. Remove the starter motor bolts.
  12. Remove the starter motor.
