2008 Chevrolet Chevy Express G3500, Van Passenger ExtendedSECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Install the starter motor.
  2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  3. Install the starter motor bolts.

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the bolts to 43 N.m (32 lb ft).

  5. Install the engine wiring harness (2) terminal and the positive battery cable (1) to the starter solenoid.
  6. Install the positive battery cable nut (3) to the starter solenoid.

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the nut to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  8. Connect the engine wiring harness electrical connector to the starter motor.

  10. Install the torque converter cover.
  11. Install the torque converter cover bolts.

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  12. Lower the vehicle.
  13. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and ConnectionΒ .
