  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and ConnectionΒ .
  2. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  3. Remove the starter solenoid nut.
  4. Remove the positive battery cable from the starter.
  5. Disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (3) from the starter.

  7. Remove the starter bolts and starter.

  9. Remove the starter motor bracket shield, if necessary.
