Installation Procedure
2008 Chevrolet Chevy Express G3500, Van Passenger ExtendedSECTION Installation Procedure
- Install the auxiliary generator bracket.
- Install the auxiliary generator bracket bolts.
Tighten:Β Tighten the bolt to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).
- Install the auxiliary generator (4).
- Install the auxiliary generator bolts (3).
Tighten:Β Tighten the bolt to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).
- Install the positive cable to the auxiliary generator, perform the following:
- Install the positive cable.
- Install the positive cable nut (1).
Tighten:Β Tighten the nut to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
- Slide the boot (4) up to cover the terminal stud.
- Install the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .
- Connect the auxiliary generator electrical connector (3).
- Install the radiator fan shroud. Refer to Engine Coolant Fan Upper Shroud Replacement (4.3L, 4.8L, 5.3L, 6.0L, 6.2L, 7.0L) or Engine Coolant Fan Upper Shroud Replacement (6.6L) .
