Circuit/System Testing

2008 Chevrolet Chevy Express G3500, Van Passenger ExtendedSECTION Circuit/System Testing
  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the theft deterrent module (TDM).
  2. Ignition OFF, test for less than 1.0 ohm of resistance between the ground circuit terminal 3 and ground.
    • If greater than the specified range, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance.
  3. Ignition ON, measure the voltage between the B+ voltage circuit terminal 1 and the ground circuit terminal 3. Verify that the voltage readings do not differ more than 2 volts than battery terminal voltage.
    • If greater than the specified value, test the B+ voltage circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance.
  4. If the circuits test normal, replace the TDM.
