- Ignition OFF, disconnect the yaw rate and lateral accelerometer sensor connector X318.
- Ignition OFF, test for less than 1 ohm of resistance between the low reference circuit Connector X318, terminal C6 and ground.
- If greater than 1 ohm, test the low reference circuit and the EBCM ground circuits terminals 11 and 28 for a short to voltage or an open/high resistance. If the circuits test normal, replace the EBCM.
- Test the lateral accelerometer signal circuits Connector X318, terminal A6 and A5 the 5-volt reference circuit terminal B6, and the low reference circuit terminal C6 for an open/high resistance or a short to voltage or ground.
- If all circuits test normal, replace the yaw rate sensor and lateral accelerometer sensor, and perform the yaw rate reference table resetting in the EBCM.
- If the DTC sets again after replacing the yaw rate sensor and lateral accelerometer sensor, replace the EBCM.
