Installation Procedure

2008 Chevrolet Chevy Express G3500, Van Cargo Extended, 4.8 CSECTION Installation Procedure
  1. Connect the front brake cable to the pedal.
  2. Fig 1: Pedal Retaining Nuts

  3. Install the pedal to the vehicle.
  4. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  5. Install the pedal retaining nuts.

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the pedal retaining nuts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  6. Install the left floor air outlet duct. Refer to Floor Air Outlet Duct Replacement - Left Side .
  7. Install the left side kick panel. Refer to Body Hinge Pillar Trim Panel Replacement .
  8. Install the release handle. Refer to Parking Brake Release Handle Assembly ReplacementΒ .
  9. Enable the park brake cable automatic adjuster. Refer to Parking Brake Cable Adjuster EnablingΒ .
  10. Verify that the vehicle will hold position with the brake pedal depressed.
  11. If additional adjustments need to be made, refer to Park Brake AdjustmentΒ .
