2008 Chevrolet Chevy Express G2500, Van Cargo, 6.6 6SECTION Removal Procedure

    IMPORTANT: Record all pre-set radio stations.
  1. Turn the ignition OFF.
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (2.2L (L61) and 3.5L (L66))Β  or Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (2.4L (LAT))Β .

  4. Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .
  5. Remove the accessory drive belt tensioner. Refer to Drive Belt Tensioner Replacement .
  6. Install the engine support fixture. Refer to Engine Support Fixture .
  7. Remove the front of the engine mount throughbolt and raise the engine for proper clearance.

  9. Disconnect the generator electrical connections.

  11. Remove the generator to engine block bolts and the generator.
