  1. Open the liftgate.
  2. Remove the liftgate trim panel. Refer to Liftgate Trim Panel Replacement .
  3. Remove the lock cylinder. Refer to Liftgate Lock Cylinder ReplacementΒ .
  4. Disconnect the outside handle swing over clip from the outside handle rod.
  5. Remove the liftgate outside handle bolts.
  6. Remove the liftgate handle from the liftgate.
