Removal Procedure

- Open the liftgate.
- Remove the liftgate trim panel. Refer to Liftgate Trim Panel Replacement .
- Remove the lock cylinder. Refer to Liftgate Lock Cylinder Replacement .
- Disconnect the outside handle swing over clip from the outside handle rod.
- Remove the liftgate outside handle bolts.
- Remove the liftgate handle from the liftgate.
