Safety Warning
DIY auto repair can cause serious injury, fire, or vehicle damage. These guides are for informational purposes only. Always follow OEM torque specs, wear PPE, and consult a certified mechanic if you are unsure. You are solely responsible for your safety.
Diagnostic Aids
Use the Temperature vs. Resistance table to evaluate the possibility of a shifted IAT sensor. See TEMPERATURE VS. RESISTANCEΒ table. A shifted sensor could result in a DTC P0110.
An intermittent malfunction may be caused by a fault in IAT sensor electrical circuit. Check wiring harness and components for an intermittent condition. See INTERMITTENTS in TROUBLE SHOOTING - NO CODES - 1.8L VIBE article. If a DTC P0110 cannot be duplicated, information included in freeze frame data can be useful in determining vehicle operating conditions when DTC was first set.
