2008 Chevrolet Chevy Express G2500, Van Cargo, 6.6 6SECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Position the battery positive cable to the engine.
  2. CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  3. Connect the battery positive cable (2) to the starter and install the starter terminal nut and tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
  4. Connect the positive battery cable to the retaining features on the engine wiring harness bracket.
  5. Connect the generator output wire to the bracket
  6. Connect the right engine harness retainer bracket to the head.
  7. Connect the generator output nut and cable and tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in)..
  8. Install the positive battery cable to the retaining features on the engine wiring harness bracket.
  9. Install the intake manifold. Refer to Intake Manifold Replacement .
  10. Connect the cable retaining clip to the stud.

  12. Install battery positive cable (2) and nut (1) to the under hood fuse block and tighten to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).
  13. Close the jump start terminal cover on the side of the under hood fuse block.

  15. Connect the battery positive cable to the battery (3).
  16. Rotate the lever (2) on the battery clamp to engage the clamp
  17. Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (LHD With Top Post)Β .
  18. Install the right compartment sight shield. Refer to Front Compartment Sight Shields Replacement .
