Removal Procedure

- Raise and suitable support the vehicle.
- Remove the power steering gear. Refer to POWER STEERING GEAR REPLACEMENT (NON-RACK AND PINION) or POWER STEERING GEAR REPLACEMENT (RACK AND PINION) .
- Install the power steering gear into a vise.
- Remove the pitman arm nut and washer.
- Remove the pitman arm from the pitman shaft using J-6632-01Β or J-29107-AΒ .
