  1. Ignition ON, engine running, increase engine speed to between 1,200-1,500 RPMs. Monitor the camshaft actuator solenoid with a scan tool, while observing the following control circuit status parameters:
    • The CMP actuator solenoid ckt short to gnd test status
    • The CMP actuator solenoid ckt open test status
    • The CMP actuator solenoid ckt short to volts test status
    • Each parameter should display OK.
  2. Operate the vehicle within the conditions for running the DTC to verify the DTC does not reset. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the freeze frame/Failure Records data.
