- Remove the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement .
- Remove the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) cooler tube. Refer to Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve Cooler ReplacementΒ .

Disconnect the fuel rail pressure sensor electrical connector (1). - Prior to removal, clean the fuel pressure sensor and surrounding area thoroughly with solvent, such as GM P/N 12377981 (Canadian P/N 10953463) or equivalent.
- Using compressed air, thoroughly blow dry the sensor and surrounding area.
- Remove the fuel pressure sensor (3).
