Install the shock absorber to the vehicle.
Align the shock absorber with the mounting holes in the lower control arm.

CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .

Install the shock absorber lower mounting bolts and tighten to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

Install the shock absorber upper retaining nut and bushing and tighten to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).
Remove the safety stands.
Lower the vehicle.
Dispose of the shock absorber. Refer to Shock Absorber Disposal .
