  1. Remove the coolant recovery reservoir bolt and reposition the reservoir.

  3. Disconnect the battery negative cable from the battery negative terminal. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and ConnectionΒ .
  4. Disconnect the battery positive cable from the battery positive terminal. Refer to Battery Positive Cable Replacement (With LMM Primary)Β  or Battery Positive Cable Replacement (With LMM Auxiliary)Β  or Battery Positive Cable Replacement (With LY2, LME or LY6)Β  or Battery Positive Cable Replacement (With LU3)Β .
  5. Remove the battery limiter from the vehicle if equipped.
  6. Remove the fender brace.

  8. Remove the battery hold-down bolt and retainer.
  9. Remove the battery.

  11. Remove the battery tray bolts.
  12. Disconnect the vacuum hoses.
  13. Disconnect the vacuum pump electrical connector.
  14. Remove the battery tray from the vehicle.
