Circuit/System Verification

- Start and run the engine.
- With a scan tool, monitor that all eight ignition control (IC) circuit status parameters display OK.
- If the IC circuit status parameter displays, Short to Ground/Open, or Short to B+, continue with the Circuit/System Testing.
- Observe the Misfire Current counters using the scan tool. The counters should not be incrementing.
- If the counters are incrementing for any of the cylinders, continue with Circuit/System Testing.
- Engine running, observe the DTC information with a scan tool. DTCs P0351-P0358 should not set.
- Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
