Leak Test Procedure

2008 Chevrolet Chevy Express G2500, Van Cargo, 6.6 6SECTION Leak Test Procedure

  1. Disconnect the air tube from the air dryer.
  2. Attach the air tube to the J 22124-BΒ  on the side opposite the toggle valve.
  3. Close the toggle valve.
  4. Apply service air pressure to the service valve and pressurize until the J 22124-BΒ  reads 550 kPa (80 psi).
  5. Verify that the system maintains pressure for at least 1 minute.
    • If the system does not maintain the specified pressure for the specified amount of time, check the shock absorber air sleeves, air tubes, and all connections for air leaks using a soapy water solution. Repair or replace any leaking components. Refer to Air Tube ReplacementΒ  and Shock Absorber Replacement .
