Speed Advisory

2008 Chevrolet Chevy Express G2500, Van Cargo, 6.6 6SECTION Speed Advisory
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2009 Cadillac STS. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Speed Advisory is similar to speed alert but this notifies the driver of what the "advised" speed is. This would be applicable on roads such as highway exit ramps, where there are recommended speeds for the ramp. The driver can scroll through the DIC, in the IPC, to display "Advisory: XX MPH" (or "Km/h" for metric setting). The notification to the driver will be based on the offset for Speed Alert (at limit, +5 MPH, +10 MPH). Speed Advisory messages have a higher priority than Speed Alert messages. Speed Advisory notification can be turn off through the DIC.
