Preliminary Procedure

  1. Disconnect the battery cables. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (With Single Battery) , Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (With Auxiliary Battery)  or Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (With Dual Batteries) .
  2. Remove the front end sheet metal diagonal brace. Refer to Front End Sheet Metal Diagonal Brace Replacement .
1 Auxiliary Battery Hold Down Bolt
CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .

Tighten:  25 N.m (18 lb ft)
2 Auxiliary Battery Hold Down
3 Auxiliary Battery
