Preliminary Procedure:Β 
Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement (LY7) or Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement (LLT) .
1 Remote Power Steering Fluid Reservoir Bolt
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .

Tighten:Β  10 N.m (89 lb in)

2 Remote Power Steering Fluid Reservoir Bolt

Tighten:Β  40 N.m (30 lb ft)

3 Remote Power Steering Fluid Reservoir

Procedure

  1. Disconnect the power steering fluid reservoir outlet hose.
  2. Disconnect the power steering reservoir inlet hose.
  3. After repairs, fill and bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System BleedingΒ .

Tip:Β 
  • Before repairs, remove as much power steering fluid from the remote power steering fluid reservoir as possible.
  • Before repairs, place drain pans under the vehicle as needed.
  • After repairs, clean any excess fluid from the vehicle and remove the drain pans.
