- Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the steering wheel control switches.
- Test the left switch for 2,360-2,400 ohms of resistance between the ignition circuit terminal 1 and the ignition circuit terminal 5.
- If the resistance is not within the specified range, replace the faulty switch.
- Test for infinite resistance between the ignition circuit terminal 1 and the signal circuit terminal 4 with the switch in the open position.
- If less than infinite resistance, replace the switch.
- Test resistance values between the ignition circuit terminal 1 and the signal terminal 4 with the switch closed in each position and verify readings are approximate to what the schematic reads.
- If values do not match, replace the switch.
