- Ignition OFF, disconnect the X2 harness connector at the RIM. Disconnect the harness connector at the intrusion sensor.
- Verify a test lamp does not illuminate between the signal circuit terminal C at the intrusion sensor and B+.
- If the test lamp illuminates, test the signal circuit for a short to ground.
- Test for less than 2 ohms of resistance between the signal circuit terminal C at the intrusion sensor and the signal circuit terminal 11 at the RIM X2 harness connector.
- If greater than the specified range, test the signal circuit for an open/high resistance.
- Ignition ON, verify a test lamp does not illuminate between the signal circuit terminal C at the intrusion sensor and ground.
- If the test lamp illuminates, test the signal circuit for a short to B+.
- If all circuits test normal, test or replace the intrusion sensor.
