  1. Ignition ON, verify that the SOD indicators located in the outside rear view mirrors illuminate briefly for a system self test when the ignition is turned ON.
    • If the SOD indicators do not illuminate briefly for a self test and the DIC displays SIDE BLIND ZONE OFF, the SOD system has been turned OFF by the driver from the DIC and is operating as intended.
  • If the SOD indicator(s) does not illuminate briefly for a self test, refer to One or Both SOD Indicator(s) Inoperative.
  • If both SOD indicators stay ON after the self test, and the DIC displays SERVICE SIDE BLIND ZONE ALERT SYSTEM refer to SOD Indicators Stays On After Self Test.
  • If both SOD indicators stay ON after the self test, and the DIC displays CLEAN SIDE BLIND ZONE ALERT SYSTEM, refer to Diagnostic AidsΒ .
