The memory seat module uses position sensor inputs to establish soft stop locations for the steering column adjuster motors several millimeters ahead of the physical limits of the adjuster assembly. After replacing the memory seat module or steering column adjuster components, the steering column calibration procedure must be performed. Refer to Telescoping Steering Column Calibration .
