Installation Procedure

2008 Chevrolet Chevy Express G2500, Van Cargo, 6.6 6SECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Install the steering knuckle to the lower control arm ball stud. Refer to Lower Control Arm Replacement (RWD)Β  or Lower Control Arm Replacement (AWD)Β .

  3. Install the upper control arm ball stud to the steering knuckle. Refer to Shock Module ReplacementΒ .
  4. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  5. Install the brake hose bracket to the steering knuckle retaining bolts.

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the bolts to 14 N.m (10 lb ft).

  7. Install the outer tie rod to the steering knuckle. Refer to Rack and Pinion Outer Tie Rod End Replacement .
  8. Install the wheel bearing/hub. Refer to Front Wheel Bearing and Hub Replacement (RWD)Β  or Front Wheel Bearing and Hub Replacement (AWD)Β .
  9. Install the tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
  10. Lower the vehicle.
