Circuit/System Description
The steering wheel position sensor is a 5-volt dual analog triangle signal device which is used to sense the steering systems center position to provide equal return to center and on center feel. The valid signal voltage range of the sensor is 0-5 volts. The sensors 2 signal voltages will increase and decrease within the valid signal voltage range and stay within a voltage range of each other as the steering wheel is turned.
After replacing the power steering motor/control module, the steering wheel torque/position sensors must be calibrated.
