Disassembly Procedure

2008 Chevrolet Chevy Express G2500, Van Cargo, 6.6 6SECTION Disassembly Procedure

  1. Remove the strut assembly. Refer to Strut Assembly ReplacementΒ .
  2. Fig 1: Identifying Special Tool - J 45400 Removing Spring Tension From Upper Strut Mount

  3. Place the strut assembly into the J 45400Β  . See Special ToolsΒ .
  4. Adjust the compressing arms to contact the coils farthest away from the center of the spring.
  5. Using the J 45400Β  , compress the spring to remove the spring tension from the upper strut mount. See Special ToolsΒ .
