2008 Chevrolet Chevy Express G2500, Van Cargo, 6.6 6SECTION Removal Procedure

    IMPORTANT: A new sunroof module assembly does not include the sunroof window, the motor, the sunshade, or the finishing lace as components. You must install the old components to the new sunroof module assembly.
  1. Remove the sunroof window. Refer to Sunroof Window ReplacementΒ .
  2. Remove the sunshade panel. Refer to Sunroof Sunshade ReplacementΒ .
  3. Remove the sunroof finishing lace. Refer to Sunroof Opening Trim Finish Lace ReplacementΒ .
  4. It is only necessary to lower the headliner. Only do those step in headliner replacement that will lower the headliner enough to gain access to the part. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (Sedan) .

  6. Disconnect the front sunroof drain hoses from the drain spigot.

  8. Disconnect the rear sunroof drain hoses from the drain spigot.
