Removal Procedure

2008 Chevrolet Chevy Express G2500, Van Cargo, 6.6 6SECTION Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement .
  2. Remove the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) cooler tube. Refer to Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve Cooler ReplacementΒ .

  4. Disconnect the fuel rail pressure sensor electrical connector (1).
  5. Prior to removal, clean the fuel pressure sensor and surrounding area thoroughly with solvent, such as GM P/N 12377981 (Canadian P/N 10953463) or equivalent.
  6. Using compressed air, thoroughly blow dry the sensor and surrounding area.
  7. Remove the fuel pressure sensor (3).
