ACTUATOR CONTROL MODULE - POWER SLIDING DOOR (PSD) PROGRAMMING AND SETUP

POWER SLIDING DOOR MODULES
The unlatching, opening, and closing of the power sliding door (PSD) is controlled by the power sliding door module (PSDM). There is one module for each sliding door. In order to continuously monitor the position of its respective sliding door, each module interprets and stores information it receives from the position sensors mounted in the associated power sliding door motor/clutch assembly.

POWER SLIDING DOOR MODULE REPLACEMENT
Replacement of the PSDM requires that the power sliding door system be disabled by removing the PSD 15-amp fuse. Once the PSDM has been replaced and the fuse installed, the following initialization procedure must be performed for both sliding doors in the following order:
1. Manually close and latch the power sliding doors.
2. Perform two complete Open/Closed cycles for each sliding door using any one of the following devices:
- Appropriate switch mounted in the overhead console
- Appropriate switch mounted to the B pillar
- Remote Transmitter
- Special functions of the scan tool
3. With a scan tool, verify that the PSD Open/Closed Position Learned parameter displays "Yes".
4. Operate the power sliding door to verify completion of the procedure. Refer to Power Sliding Door (PSD) Description and Operation in Doors.

POWER SLIDING DOOR MODULE REPROGRAMMING
Service parts are programmed during the manufacturing process and no additional programming should be necessary. However, in the event that a software change to the PSD is implemented after the start of production, the PSDM can be reprogrammed using the service programming procedure.

POWER SLIDING DOOR MODULE RE-INITIALIZATION: MAY BE DUE TO RELATED COMPONENT SERVICE
If the power sliding door module has been removed and re-installed, or if battery positive voltage or ground has been removed from the module for any other reason, follow the power sliding door module replacement initialization procedure.
