  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable (2). Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure (Single Battery)  or Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure (Auxiliary Battery) .

  2. Unsnap the positive battery cable cap.
  3. Disconnect the positive battery cable (1).
    4. IMPORTANT: The bolt is integral to the battery cable and is not removable.
